In case you are wondering what the day number means, I have 101 days before going back to school in the fall.
Today I began working on this blog-esque website. I was inspired by Ben Stokes's website tinyprojects.dev. I liked how minimal it was and resonated with the idea of having "your little corner of the internet to do as you please with." In fact, I liked it so much that I've pretty much stolen his global.css for this site, having changed only the font and color.
Currently, the main goal of working on this site is to improve my writing. I struggle with expressing ideas in academic writing, often leaning too heavily on AI to rewrite my work. If writing badly was a category of illnesses, I would suffer from "nominalization" and "be verb" overload. By writing without AI and making it publicly visible, I hope to improve my ability to communicate with an audience other than myself.
If you've even seen those "100 day" transformation/learning a new skill videos on YouTube, I guess you could say that this post here is my baseline, my "Day 1."
